想不到小學生作文也能得到青睞 = 3=


Question:
You have been asked to write a one-paragraph letter to a group of high school students about what young people should do to be successful in life.
Keep the following points in mind as you write:
1. Write an interesting topic sentence.
2. Use strong illustrations or examples to support your topic sentence.
3. Write a concluding sentence that does a good job of summarizing the paragraph.


My answer:
Do you want to be successful in life? It is not that difficult, and I have some suggestions for you that can help you be on the right way to become successful. First of all, you have to set your own goal. Whatever the goal is, it must be what you really want to do. And then write down the goal, put it in one place you can see everyday to remind you. Secondly, you need to trust yourself that you can achieve the goal, and at the same time, you need to be responsible to yourself to do any efforts to achieve the goal. Last and most important one is that never give up. You may face a lot of obstacles while achieving your goal, but never give up. When you feel frustrated, take a deep breath and think about what you can do next. Here are just very simple steps that you can follow to help you be successful in your life. I believe everyone can be successful as long as you are motivated to achieve your goal.

好像有一些文法錯誤，但老師也沒改 XD
他只在我的答案卷上寫Excellent而已 XDDDDDD

寫這種作文題目都有一點心虛
不過，寫久了就變得越來越不心虛了 XDDDD

像這種需要論述的英文作文
其實抓到要點就變得很好寫
即使你的內容或用字很簡單，只要抓到要點還是能得到青睞

要點一：首先需要一個topic引出你接下來要說什麼。
這個跟寫中文作文很不同，中文作文都是把結論放在最後
而英文作文會先說出結論然後才開始敘述
然後在文章最後會做一個summary或是把topic用不同的字敘述一次

要點二：要善用transition words，像是first, secondly, finally, however等等。
這個是重點中的重點
中文作文可以很隨興的寫，但是英文作文就要有條理
（其實我到現在還是不太知道要怎麼寫好中文作文 XDDD）
所以分出第一點、第二點、第三點這樣子可以讓你的文章變得很容易理解
然後再加上一些口氣轉折所需要的transition words
這樣就可以讓你的文章增色不少

要點三：適時加入一些例子。
有時候我們寫中文作文時，可能只寫個形容詞來講我們要講的東西
而在英文作文裡，只用形容詞來敘述是不夠的
所以，在講完一個意見時，通常會加入一個簡單的例子

例如在我的作文裡：Last and most important one is that never give up. You may face a lot of obstacles while achieving your goal, but never give up. 這兩句是一個意見（opinion）
然後When you feel frustrated, take a deep breath and think about what you can do next.這一句就是一個簡單的例子

這次寫的作文比較少例子，因為是只寫一段的小作文而已。

上面這三點是我個人覺得最重要的要點
當然，如果可以用很多很厲害的單字或漂亮的句子會更好
不過那些都是需要長久練習的
我到現在也只能寫出這樣程度的作文而已（淚）

不過，比起以前，總覺的進步許多
如果以前要我寫一篇英文作文，我要花很多時間思考
而且思考後還是寫不太出來，總是沒寫出清楚的結構和主張
也許是字彙的問題，也也許是不夠熟練。

現在大部分都是能掰出個什麼東西
大概是因為上課老師就要你交出來，所以你不得不逼自己寫出東西
不過練習也是個原因
練習久了自然就能夠比較輕易的寫出自己的想法
所以即使用的單字不是很華麗，但是寫出想法是最重要的


自己的一點想法
不過，還只是小學生作文程度而已 XDDDD
